MAS DEFENSE 7" SQUADRON LIGHTWEIGHT QUAD RAIL - BLACK

Proudly Made In The USA. Our "SQUADRON" quad rail with lightweight cuts make it feel as it it's floating on air. It is machined from 6061 aluminum and anodized with a Type III Class 2 Hardcoat. The rail itself weighs in at 8 oz. Add the barrel nut and attaching screws for a total of 10 oz. The top rail sits directly against the upper receiver rail while anti-rotations tabs at the sides assist to prevent any movement. The inner diameter is 1.8" which will allow most suppressors to fit inside the handguard. Quick Detach Mounts are built into the handguard at the front and rear positions.

***Please confirm fitment if you are using anything other than a Mil-Spec AR-15 upper receiver. The anti-rotation tabs may not fit around custom or billet uppers.

Installation should be complete by a gunsmith. The barrel nut accepts a standard AR-15 armorers wrench and must be torqued to a minimum of 38 FOOT LBS. The (8) handguard screws should be torqued evenly to 35 INCH LBS with blue removable loctite applied.

This rail is very tough and well made. Your purchase on the weapon and easier point shooting and faster target acquisition definitely goes up by using it vs rails that don't have a 1.8 inner diameter. The collar and barrel nut system I love. It's very secure when installed and locked in place for the long haul.

I don't think you'll find a better rail for the price, though that comes with some draw backs; some sharp corners, a weaker finish, and QD points that don't spin freely.

Before anything else, I’ll stress that YOU WILL NOT FIND A BETTER RAIL FOR THE MONEY. Massive inner diameter to tuck a suppressor, ridged won't-come-lose construction, can't beat it for the money. (but buy a set of rail covers) *This product comes with a Barrel nut and mounting hardware.

I've moved around some accessories mounted to the rails and noted that I'm seeing bare metal on the corners of the 1913 rail.

There are a lot of 90-degree corners without rounded edges on this. (Namely the plunge cuts in and the skeletonizing sections.) That isn't to say everything is sharp, but it should be noted.

I love having the multitude of QD points located all over this rail, but the holes + paint make the fit not the best. stuff rotating doesn't spin freely, and it gets sticky feeling at times.

This is my first AR build so I wasn’t sure exactly what I needed but the description was pretty clear and had all the details I needed, after receiving the rail and installing it I was floored on how bada$$ it looked! But wait… it’s also extremely light weight, very well made and came with every last thing I needed to install it.
Shipping was super fast and packaged well.
I really enjoy doing business with MAS. My son and I are starting a build for him now and we will be purchasing as much as possible through MAS!!

These are a steal for the price. They also fit enhanced aero hand guards with the integrated barrel nut, which is a nice feature that is not advertised.
